Outlook Express Troubleshooting
Outlook Express is probably the most commonly used e-mail client around. Since it comes standard with Windows XP, most users have at least tried working with it. There are other free e-mail clients for Windows XP, but none are installed by default. Outlook Express offers the basic e-mail functionality, which will suffice most users. As a newsfeed (RSS) reader it is less suited, there are many better tools around for that.
The large user base has also resulted in frequent problems with Outlook Express. These problems can vary from not being able to send and/or receive e-mails to serious problems like data corruption of the e-mail files. This document is intended to help you troubleshoot any Outlook Express error you might experience. Most errors can be solved by either the correct configuration or a number of corrective steps.
