How to Apply a Clipping Mask in Adobe Photoshop CS2

  1. Arrange the layers in the Layers palette so that the layer with the mask is underneath the layers that you want to mask.
  2. Select a layer in the Layers palette.
  3. Go to the Layer  menu and then select Create Clipping Mask option.
  4. Note: The clipping mask is given the same attributes as the bottommost layer in the group.
