How to Find and Replace Text with Specific Formatting In MS Word XP

  1. From the Edit menu, click Replace.
  2. In the Find What field, type the text to be searched.
  3. Click Format and then select the formatting to search for. If the Format button is not visible, click More.
  4. In the Replace With field, type the replacement text.
  5. Click Format and then select a formatting option for the replacement text if desired.
  6. To replace all instances of the text searched for with the replacement text, click Replace All.
  7. To make a single replacement, click Replace.
  8. To skip a replacement, click Find Next.
  9. Click Close.
