How to Insert The Correct Date, Time, Section Header Or Other Item Does Not Appear In The Header Or Footer In MS Word XP

- Make sure that the Update automatically option is clicked when inserting the date and time from the Insert menu.
- Click Insert menu, and select Date and Time.
- Choose the desired format and then click Update automatically option.
- Click OK button
- Items inserted in headers and footers are inserted as field codes in MS Word. Click F9 on your keyboard to update these fields.
