How To Disable Internet File Downloads In Internet Explorer 6

Go to the Tools menu and then select the Internet Options.
Select the Security tab.
Look for the option, Select a Web content zone to specify its security settings, select the Custom Level button.
Look for Downloads section; select the Disable button under File Download section.
Click the OK button to exit the Security Setings dialog box.
