How to Filter a List for Rows Containing Specific Text in MS Excel XP
- Select any cell in the list to be filtered.
- Go to Data menu, select the option Filter, and then click the option AutoFilter.
- Use the down arrow in the column that contains the list, and then click (Custom . . .) option.
- In the left box, select equals, does not equal, contains, or does not contain.
- In the right box, type the text criteria.
- Click the OK button.
