HP Releases “Green PC”
Today HP announced the release of their green (pro-environment) Energy Star desktops called HP Pavillion Verde Special Edition and HP Pavillion Phoenix Special Edition. Both desktops are powered by AMD’s energy-efficient processors and also come in recycled packaging.
According to PC Magazine, “the HP Pavilion Phoenix Special Editon a6655f desktop PC starts at $659 without monitor, and is powered by a quad core AMD Phenum X4 9250e processor, 640-Gbyte hard drive and a DVD burner. The HP Pavilion Verde Special Edition a6645f desktop PC starts at $579 without monitor, and is powered by a dual core AMD Athlon X2 4850e processor and 500GB hard drive.”
Circuit City has the exclusive on the Verde desktop and Best Buy exclusively sells the Phoenix.
