New 13.3 Inch Lenovo Laptop
Lenovo announced this morning that they’ve refreshed their 13.3 inch laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad X301. In a war to get the fastest and best laptops out right before the beginning of the school year, this doesn’t surprise most PC enthusiasts.
The X301 comes with the highly-anticipated Intel chip Centrino 2. According to CNET, the new Thinkpad “will incorporate an ultra-low-voltage Core 2 Duo processor that’s expected to be unveiled at the Intel Developer Forum this week. The ThinkPad X301 will also come equipped with DDR3 RAM, which (combined with the new processor technology) will make it ’20 percent more powerful than the X300,’ according to the company.”
As is the fashion for most new laptops, the Thinkpad will also come with a 128GB solid-state hard drive option which will replace the “old-fashioned” hard drive disks.
Lenovo’s announcement mentioned the price range for this new laptop starts at $2,599 and will come out to the public beginning August 26th, 2008.
