How to Disable File Compression During Disk Cleanup
If you are regularly doing PC maintenance, then you will certainly use the Windows Disk Cleanup function a lot. The disk cleanup function combines a number of handy cleanup features in Windows, removing log files, temporary files, error dump files, and more. Unfortunately it can be rather slow. Before the results are shown a lot of processing seems to take place. The reason for that is the Compress old files function, disabling this feature can speed up the cleanup process.
