How To Install A Non-Plug And Play Device Using the Add Hardware Wizard in MS Windows XP Professional
Adding hardware to your computer will normally result in Windows XP automatically detecting your new device and installing the required drivers for it to work. If your hardware is not automatically detected by Windows XP, it could be that it is not Plug and Play compatible. In that case you need to manually install the new hardware using the Add Hardware Wizard in the Control Panel.
