Nobody likes hanging applications. But if it does happen, you want the operating system to deal with it in an efficient manner. Windows XP informs the user of non-responsive applications. If you don’t like the time it takes Windows XP to assess if an application is hanging, you can tweak it to your liking.
Haning applications is a fact of life. Depending on your PC configuration and the type of applications you use, occasionally you will experience a hanging application. In most cases terminating and restarting the application is the only way out. But if this happens a lot, why not tell Windows XP to automatically do this?
