Use Windows Defender in Vista to Control Startup Programs
One of the common causes of Windows PC’s to start slow is the number of programs executed at Windows start. A lot of applications install themselves to start when Windows starts. In Vista you can easily check and manage the startup applications using the Software Explorer which is part of Windows Defender.
