Go to the Windows Start menu and click the option, My Pictures.
Select the photos to be printed. Look for the Picture Tasks section, select the option Print the selected pictures. This will open the Photo Printing Wizard.
Click the Next button.
In the Picture Selection screen, the photos appear as thumbnails. Uncheck any photo to cancel printing of that image.
Click the Next button.
Select the appropriate printer in the Printing Options screen, and then click the Next button.
Select the desired photo layout in the Layout Selection screen. Modify the Number of times to use each picture box to print multiple copies of a photo.
Click the Next button and then click the Finish button.
@Donna – That is strange indeed. Have you tried the printing troubleshooter? Start -> Printers and Faxes, Help menu -> Help and Support Center, click Fixing a printing problem and select Printing Troubleshooter in the right-hand pane. A second thing to try is to use capture the desktop (Alt+PrtSc), and then start Paint, use Ctrl+V to paste the screenshot in the Paint program. And now try to print the image from Paint itself to the default printer.
If that does not work, see if you have any other printers installed, and uninstall them, so the HP Deskjet 3050 is the only one.
My friend has Windows XP Home addition and has a HP Deskjet 3050 Printer which is already connected to her computer but when we tried to print a picture off of her desktop screen the Photo Printing Wizard came up and asked for us to connect a printer? Why would the wizard ask this since we have a printer connected which is also the default printer Please e-mail me ASAP about any kind of help that you can offer so that my friend can print out pictures from where they are, like My Pictures, My Documents etc. Thank You, Donna
