Lenovo’s IdeaCentre Desktop
Lenovo just announced their new desktop, IdeaCentre K210, in a press release this morning. Engadget reports that the K210 comes “with a variety of hardware choices including Intel’s Core 2 Quad processors, up to 3GB of DDR2 RAM, a GMA X3100 integrated graphics set (or a 512MB ATI Radeon 2600 XT), optional Blu-ray drive, gigabit Ethernet, a 16-in-1 multicard reader and an anti-microbial keyboard.”
Sources have reported earlier in the month that Lenovo was terminating its 3000 line desktops which were considered cheaper than the rest of its PCs. The announcement of the K210 has analysts buzzing since the new desktop will reportedly sell for $379 after a mail-in rebate.
The IdeaCentre Desktop comes with VeriFace facial recognition technology which allows the user to log in by simply staring into a webcam.
